I had a cheap sort of device like that for my old StarTAC. I tossed
it when I got rid of the StarTAC.

It plugged into a cigarette lighter (had an extension attachment if
you had a car with a lower lighter socket) and flexed in several
places. It plugged directly into the phone and functioned as a
speakerphone as well.

It worked OK as a speakerphone, good as a phone holder.
