*Plus* the cost of the Durango. Yikes.

Not to take anything away from the technical achievement of converting a
Durango to a hard-core trail rig, but it occurs to me that you can build
up a pretty capable 4x4 for $8-10,000 total, including the starter
vehicle. Just as long as you don't care what it looks like :-).
