Lat time I was up at PGH Raceway Park, a guy showed up with a Brand NEW
Silverado SS and did a little track testing.
He was running fairly consistent 15.40-15.50's as I recall, and the track
prep was not very good as most of us were having traction issues!
His AWD SS was making some very impressive runs!
I on the other hand was saddled with a string of 16.0's due to SEVERE
traction problems at the line and over the first 60' feet.
I just wished a HEMI RAM had showed up that night as it would have been fun
to see those two trucks go at it!
Bottom line.............The Silverado SS is a stout performance truck
in my book, and if the GMC / Chebby BOY'S start tuning these trucks, they
will be a very tough adversary on the Street and Strip!
