Congrats, Jason & Norah. He's a good-looking dog! I've always had a
soft spot for Goldens.
I think it's great that you took in an older dog who needed a good home
(which you'll give him, in spades). So many people go to a pet store
looking for a cute little puppy and forget that there are so many
animals who never got a break in life and just need someone to love
them, no matter how old or young. I adopted my cats as kittens from a
"rescue" type home; one was born there (his mother is a resident), the
other had been found at the age of 2 weeks in an abandoned building,
malnourished. Of course now she's a 12-pound, 28-clawed hellcat :)
