Ok...verified with our welder at the dealership (and they have to follow
Chrysler policy):
(1) Factory parts are NOT to be welded (use factory clamps unless
welding is required)
(2) Catalytic converters are NOT to be welded on unless required
(3) Disconnect Battery
(4) Put grounding clamp as close to weld area as possible (Frames are a
big No-No - that's how you fry a PCM)
(5) O2 sensors must be removed if closer than 6"
