Really? When we put the FM 50 on my old Dak, I didn't turn my stereo on
for a week afterwards.

Mufflers definitely have a break-in period. Cats probably have a little
bit of one, but not much I'd guess. I'd guess 2 or 3 full
heating/cooling cycles.
