I'm using a Gibson on my '92 318 and get compliments on it's sound all the
time at the track. With a cat it's barely noticeable in the cab while
cruising.....without one it's a little louder but still doesn't drown out
the stereo. I run the 3" with a single tailpipe and everyone who's
commented on it thought I had true dual exhaust till they noticed the pipe.

I also have a friend with a blown '93 318 using the same Gibson as mine. He
shifts at 6000 rpm (as do I) and runs mid-12s so I'd have to say it's not
very restrictive. I also like the sound of a magnaflow but haven't heard
one at WOT and haven't seen any of those with one run nearly as fast as
mine.
