Well, I took the truck into the dealer today to have the blower motor
fixed. After spending an hour or so trying to figure it out this
weekend, I decided I just don't have enough time to deal with it.
Anyway, it turns out that there were two pieces of cardboard (?!?!)
inside the blower motor that became lodged inside the squirrel cage.
No idea how that happened, but this weekend's project is going to be
to put some screen underneath the cowl to prevent anything else from
ever getting in there.
They only had to "partially" take apart the dash to get in there, so
the total damage wasn't too bad. Only about 1.5 hours of labor, which
is actually good considering how much time (and stress) it would have
taken me to get the job done.
