With 5 cats, we've developed a system for claw clipping. Each cat has a
different tolerance level. With Pierre, he's pretty compliant, just don't
put him on his back and make it quick. With Janor, she doesn't mind at all,
in her mind... attention is attention and she'll purr all the way through
it. With Ashley, put on your Kevlar suit, gloves, and face protection...one
grabs her and holds her in the air under her arms while the other furiously
clips trying to not get slashed while listening to her growling like a dog.
With Norja... good like finding him... he's the Houdini of cats (just ask
Jon and Ed), but once you have him, it's a piece of cake. He's probably in
trauma while it's being done as he's frozen from fear. With Ming, corner
him, throw a towel on him, hold on tight while the other clips away. It's
definitely a two person job.
Dakota content: When you put each cat in their own cage and stack them up
in the back seat of the QC, you'll enjoy a rather, long, multi-tonal
serenade during the entire trip. :-)
