Remove the intake manifold and lift either from the intake bolt holes (not
with the factory bolts!) or remove two head bolts and use those for the
chain (you can leave the intake manifold on then). Do NOT lift from the
intake manifold itself as it's not a high quality aluminum and you can strip
the bolt holes at the TB opening. Leave the exhaust manifolds on the engine
- no need to remove them.

Subject: DML: Engine Removal Tips???

Hehe..... I need some advice! :)

I'm going to start on a little project very soon and I need to know where's
a good place to hook the engine up to when removing it?? The FSM is very
vague on this. I was thinking about leaving the exhaust manifolds on and
wrapping the chain around them, but the more I think about it the more it
doesnąt sound too good. My other idea, using the intake manifold, the FSM
says not to do.

So, how do I get this bugger out??? :)
