stereo removal

Now that I'm finally getting paychecks, I'm looking to hook up my iPod
to my 2004 Dakota. So the question is, how do I remove the stereo?
I've searched google and couldn't find any howto's online. My truck is
on '04 CC SXT with the in-dash cdplayer if that makes a difference.
Will I have to reset the stereo somehow after reconnecting it?
