The Viper uses a 20 amp fuse in the PDC and two 50amp relays for the fans
(work on them as well).

Subject: DML: Viper Fan - Technical Info?

I've been browsing the archives looking for info on the Viper fan
(specifically how much current it draws). I've seen a variety of numbers;
50 amps, 42 amps, 35 amps, and one post where Bernd stated that the actual
Viper uses a 20 amp fuse (but is this just controlling the relay for the
fan? it seems kind of a high amp fuse for that though). Reason I'm asking:

  I am wanting to use Flex a Lite's VSC, but they come in 25 amp and 40 amp
versions. Didn't find that out until I had the 25 amp unit in my hands,
which I know isn't enough. So I ordered the 40 amp version. Now I'm
thinking it may not be enough either, or just barely. Good thing Summit
seems to have a good return policy!
