When you reply you should really try to expound your "answers"...

It's not just a simple "resistor"...

OK, at dusk I went out and tried the LEDs again. There must get really
washed out by sunlight, because they were pretty visable at dusk and fairly
bright in the dark. I'm going to try them tomorrow during the day before I
retract or confirm my accusation of them being junk. I took pictures but
they aren't an accurate representation of reality, they look a lot brigher
than they are.

People whose LEDs won't flash. The resistor "fix" is not a good idea. All
the ones you buy from bulb people is a cheap little resistor with a heat
sink on it. They say "Keep away from plastic and painted areas," becuase
why? They get damn hot!! Underhood fires and wiring damage has been a
known byproduct of these. Go to a parts store and look for Tridon part
#EL12, that is the electronic flasher you need. I found it next to all the
other flashers and bulbs and stuff. Ran me $8 and some change with tax from

Auto Zone. Note that you will need two of these if you want both signals
and flashers to work. I won't tell you how pissed I was when I installed it

and it only fixed my hazards...and how dumb I felt after I realized I put it

in the hazard flasher spot rather than the turn signal. Flip flopped and
all is well. Gen 3 trucks probably use the same flasher, but check before
buying.
