Had a 97 3.9l Dakota CC, it never pinged on 87 octane gas. All I did to it
as soon as I got it was a homebrew intake, 3923 Autolites, and the 180 stat.
That's it. Never pinged in the 3 years I had it. Did the samething to the
Durango 5.9l SLT and no pinging on it either.
