Hi Traci!

Welcome to the DML!

<snip> I have 31x10.05x15's on there now<snip>

Are you sure they aren't 10.50?

<snip> I seem to have two options. I could go with what I have now. Or, I
could
get 17" rims and get 245/65R17's.<snip>

I chose a third option: BFG AT 32X11.50 KOs!

<snip>(wheel set further out) will affect the truck's alignment and
handling.<snip>

A little rubbing at full lock when they're new, but after 40+K miles, they
don't rub at all...
I haven't noticed any alignment problems...& they handle better than the OEM
Badyears

<snip> Also, if I need to put the edge of the tread on a rock, will I wreck
a tire or crack a rim<snip>

I'll let you know in tww weeks - AFTER we go play in Steigersteigerland!

<snip> Will the wider, if stiffer, tires adversely affect my gas
mileage<sniip>

My mileage has maintained pretty much 16.5 - 17.5 in the 4+ years I've had
her.

Uhhh...well... it's prolly gone down a tad since the Flowmaster went
on...Can't bring myself to upshift as soon as I should...LOVE the
rumble...8-)
