I too have a '98 4x4 CC with 318 auto. My last two mileage checks show a
variation of 4mpg depending on my driving. My high was 19.2mpg with two
motorcycles on board (tailgate down) cruising at 71mph. But when I start
kicking around town I drop to about 15mpg and that's with the tonneau cover on.
I've got 31x10.5x15 Falken S/TZ04 tires if your interested and the cab is set
for 31" tires. I haven't checked the speedo accuracy since I put on these tires
but it should be off more than a couple of % worst case.
