I'll look at that tomorrow, I'll check the bottom pivot points and see if
they are there...

What got me wondering is that i got home from work, and when I closed the
door to lock it up, I got a rattle coming from the bed and it seems to be
the tailgate......

Make sure the plastic hinge covers are in place. That can cause a ton of
noise.
