Correction: The free flowing exhaust aids the engine in being more
efficient which, in turn, helps create more power. Same goes for a cold-air
intake system. It's just an air pump (basically)...the more you can get in
and the quicker/more efficiently you can get it out, the more power you
make.

Intake and Exhaust systems will allow the engine to make/generate more power
(and quite a few other things as well).

The 3.9 has 175 hp stock. And an exhaust system gets more hp to the wheels.
Doesn't cause the engine to generate more hp
