I know that I have hit a few hard bumps while highway driving and it has
shaken the rear abs enough to make the abs light come on briefly.

come to think of it, you're right - the rear ABS uses it. good call.
in that case it might be somehow related..... computer loosing RWSS signal,
perhaps?
