I put a set on my '99 CC 2WD at all 4 corners about a month ago. They are a
firm shock, as are any GAS shocks. If softer is what you prefer, go with an
oil-filled unit of your choice. They are an improvement over stock
DEFINITELY. I have the trailering package, so perhaps my springs are on the
firm side as well. The reflex units aren't so harsh on the sudden, abrupt
impacts. I won't go so far as to say that they are "smooth", though. Just
very characteristic of gas filled units. Oil-filled smooth things out
better. The price was a good selling point with me. Hope this helps.
