I think that they came on '01 and '02, and optional on '03.. I'm
probably wrong, though.
I would imagine that they do make a difference in stopping power --
IIRC, Bernd just recently posted that one of the guys at his shop was
getting ready to do the swap for just that reason. If you look back in
the archives (or the newsgroup) you should be able to find that post.
It was within the past week or so.
