They could pull the t-stat & check in a pot of heated water to see if it's
functioning...
If it is...
Are the hoses to & from the heater core hot after she warms up? If not the
core may be shot...
Any sign of antifreeze on the oil dipstick? If yes, head gasket may be
shot...
What condition is the antifreez in? Is the mix right?
