RE: Back up lights

I had two lights mounted off my hitch and had them wired into the backup
lights as well. The only problem was that if you backed into a slope, it
bent them up, just had to watch for that. I have since removed them and put
in what were supposed to be super duper bulbs in the taillights, but I could
hardly tell any difference so they were a waste of money. I am now
considering mounting a couple of lights on my snugtop lid that I can turn on
and off with a switch inside the cab. I just hate to have to drill through
that top.

You'd need an override switch on that. Otherwise, you could crunch
the actuator *and* the lights when backing off a slope where the
bumper would scrape.
