Yes, the PCM controls the fuel pump circuit. Ignition ON, ASD relay
energized, fuel pump turns on. ASD relay may be toasted but would check ALL
fuses to verify that nothing else is toasted.

Subject: DML: Won't Start NEED HELP

Hey Guys,

I could use some help....while polishing up my engine I hit the lug on the
back of the alternator with a screw driver and grounded / arced it out. I
did this once before and blew out and had to replace the computer...however
the truck was running at that time and stalled...and the computer was
smoking....so it was evident that it was the cause.

This time (yes I learn slowly) the truck was off and the computer not
smoking.... I just replaced my valve covers....and blasted the front of my
motor.....

I just checked my fuel rail and I have no fuel pressure...when turning the
key to on the fuel pump isn't pressurizing the rail.....does the computer
tell the pump to come on? I already checked the fuel pump relay and fuse .

When I dump some gas in the TB it wants to start....

Whatda think?

Thanks
Bob
