Those would be the 2002 "left overs". 5.7L replaced the 5.9L for the 2003
models.

the 5.9L (gas) was used in 2003's until december, when the 5.7L was released
as a mid-year "improvement".

The 5.9L was last used in the '02 model Ram. '03 models did not have a
5.9L.

Is there any way to run the numbers on a engine and find out what year it
is??? I have a 5.9 and I thought the guy said it came out of a 03 Ram, but I
need to make sure???

Thanks
Tom
