Ohhhhh, I'm sorry but you didn't do the secret handshake OR sing
the DML theme song! No parts for you! ;-)
Heh - actually, yeah, its pretty annoying that Mopar doesn't give
us a better way to look up parts than to basically go to a dealer
and try to explain what we want so they can whip out the virtual
microfiche to look them up. I wish there was something on-line
where we could derive a part number or plug in a part number to
see what it is. :-(
I don't know if this will help you or not, but Tenafly Chrysler
Jeep in NJ has a pretty decent website at:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213794
(That link is also in the DML FAQ in case you lose it, just
do a search for "tenafly" or "parts" at faq.dakota-truck.net.)
Anyway, that web site won't give you part numbers, but I have
found it useful for drilling down to figure out an "official name"
for a part so you don't have to use terms like "thingamajig" or
"doo-dad" when talking to a parts counter guy. :-) It'll also
give you prices (usually pretty good ones).
I don't know if that will help you out or not, thought I'd put
it out there just in case; might hold you over while Bernd is
on the mend. :-)
