Hi David...long time no hear. :)
You "should" be able to tow the boat, but would recommend that you change
out the differential gears to 3.90:1 (your option though - just for easy of
motion due to the smaller engine).
Do NOT use the bumper to tow the boat. You'll need to get a proper receiver
and hitch for safety.
