Just as an FYI to everybody, here's something that might help a little
bit... I have a Citi Dividend VISA card. It automatically gives you a
1% discount on everything you purchase, plus 5% on anything purchased at
a gas station, convenience store, or grocery store. (This includes gas.)
So I am now using this card exclusively for my gas purchases. How it
works is your "cashback bonus" (or whatever they call it) builds up in
your account, and once it has gone over $25, you can request them to
cut you a check. I think there is a limit of something like $600 per
year that you can get back, but hey, every little bit helps, right?
I'm not sure what the APR is on it since I pay mine off every month so
it doesn't matter to me, I do know there is no annual fee. Anyway, for
anyone looking to soften the hit at the pumps a bit, you might want to
apply for that card. I think you can find an on-line application at
www.citicards.com, or just do a google search for "citi dividend". I
got mine through a direct mailing, I told my Dad about it and he was
able to apply on-line for it.

(I'm not affiliated with Citi, don't own their stock, etc. just
thought this might save ya a few extra bucks on something that you
need to buy anyway.)

: (sigh) Shoulda bought a 2500 or 3500 CTD hehehe

Probably. ;-) But you'd probably have to own it for quite a while
to make up for the additional initial purchase price. Especially now
with the rediculous price of diesel. I don't know about your area, but
its running 5-8 cents ABOVE 87 right now. Never used to be that way,
seems like I remember diesel was usually something like 20 cents below. :-(

: My buddy is planning on tagging along with me this year finally. Hes
: watched the videos from the BBQ's the last few years and is longing for
: some wheeling (from Utah originally).

Sounds good! Make sure he brings his snorkel and goggles! (The
goggles do nothing, but the snorkel might keep him breathing for a few
extra minutes.) ;-) See if he'll chip in a bit for gas!
