no bus problem

Have a problem with my 2000 4.7 QC. Went to Academy yesterday and when I
came out the truck cranks over but does not fire. None of the gauges work.
After leaving the key in the running position for a few seconds the odometer
flashes three times and changes to "no bus" Talked t someone who sugested a
blown major fuse. I have checked all the fuses all are good. Called the
dealer and they stated it more than likely was an electronic power module.
Talked to the parts counter who looked it up and found that they do not have
the part and it will be 5 to 8 days to get it. Also spoke to the service
department and they claim this should be covered under the Federal Emisions
Warreny. Does any of this seem correct? I had no warning at all that there
was even a problem. Just started right up and than stopped and will not
start again.
