Or just a bad ground/connection somewhere. I got hte NO BUS message
on my '99 a couple times. Pulled the cluster & reseated it, then
attempted to do the same w/ the CTM but couldn't get all the screws
out. Reattached everything and never saw the problem again.

I didn't have the "no start" issue, but the truck was rolling when I
got NO BUS in the first place.
