Gary,
The Charger at $22k-$30K slots right in there with the bread an butter cars
from GM and Ford. Impala ($22k-$28K), Ford 500 ($22k-$28k), Grand Prix
($23k-$29k). The Charger in base form it has a significant peformance advantage
over the others and at the high end a huge performance advantage. Whether the
performance advantage and unique styling is enough for the Charger to take
market share away from these cars or not remains to be seen but based on the
success of the 300 and Magnum I would guess it will. The market for fairly
large reasonably priced sedan is large.
In regards to the 05 Dakota, I like the looks and the more I see them on the
road the more I like what they did with the styling. Also, based on the numbers
I am seeing on the road I would say DC has another winner.
