I've used Goodyear 235-75R15 RT/S on my 1995 Clubcab and the front inner
edges rub the frame just a little on sharp turns or when going over a
bump
and turning sharply. The rear are ok. Dunlop 235-75R15s didn't rub as
much.
I got stock Dakota cast aluminum wheels.

I've had very little trouble with my 235/75/15s on 15x7 GenIII Wheels.
My
issue hasn't been vertical rubbing, but horizontal on the front end, the

tires actually hit the frame at full lock. I've had well in excess of
500
lbs in the bed several times with no issues there. Run good shocks and
you
should be ok. You can see pics on my web page,
www.bsu.edu/web/ztburcham
and look for the "My Truck" links. I've run two sets of tires that size

Firestone Wilderness A/Ts and now Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revos. Fills
the
wheel well nicely.

Subject: DML: New to the list, looking for a pre-Jeep 2.5 header

Hello Everyone, I am posting for the first time here. I am a long time
members of several Shelby-Dodge related mailing lists and forums. I
just
bought my first rear-wheel-drive vehicle a few weeks ago, a 1995 Dakota
2.5
with a 5 speed. I have been building Turbo Chryslers for over fifteen
years
now. I have not been able to find a tubular exhaust header for the 2.5
anywhere, does it exist?

Thanks.

I have the paint peeling on the roof of my GenII. I planned to take it
to a paint/auto
body shop and have them paint the whole thing a single solid color. Its
has the two-tone
factory paint. It's light and medium grey shades. But I probably will
go with a
metallic grey all over.

also, is it hard to paint the grill? how do they prep it to get the

Hey all,

Well it has been a while and I finally had the time to get the
exhaust work
done on the Dodge, and it still runs for crap. Had both o2 sensors
replaced, new cat and a Flowmaster cat back. Thing still runs like it
is
missing or something. Prior to doing the exhaust I did a basic tune up,
new
plugs wires cap rotor and coil. I don't know what to check next. I
cannot
get it to spit out the codes I tried several times al the different
combos
mentioned on the web page but it will not spit codes at me and the
nearest
parts store that will plug in a code reader is about a 20 minute drive
and I
really do not want to drive the truck if I can avoid it. I have been
driving my Chevy but 13 MPG is getting real old...anyway here is the
specs
again, '99 sport 318 5spd reg cab short box. It will not pull, it will
not
rev good and I don't know what to try next. Maybe a bad injector? I am
going to pull the plugs again tomorrow to check them but the last ones
looked ok, no signs of fouling, maybe a couple looked a trace lean but I
don't recall for sure. I'll double check the rotor and plugs to make
sure I
installed them correctly but I am 99% positive I did. I'm pulling my
hair
out here!

Thanks,

Check with your body shop first. Some shops won't even touch a job if
anyone has started the prep work.

When you turn on the key, (not turning it to start), do you hear the
fuel
pump come up? I wonder if your fuel pump sock might be clogged, or
maybe a
crank sensor. Just taking some guesses here...

Hi,

Is there anyone heading to the DML BBQ that will be passing by
Bloomington,
IL? I am going to be taking I-80 straight out and wanted to know if
there
was a convoy getting started.

Also, I may need help with my truck. I suspect oil is leaking into my
#6
cylinder. If the plenum gasket or something like that needs to get
replaced, are there going to be enough knowledgable people available to
help? Also I would like assistance tracking down an unknown rattling
coming
from somewhere on the passenger side engine that needs help.

The second item, can someone run a Carfax report for me? The VIN is
1G2WR5213YF110637 . E-mail is chris92@NOSPAM__insightbb.com

Thanks!

In my opinion, you shouldn't bother painting the bed. Remove the
bedliner for sure, but don't bother with prep work inside the bed.
Don't bother having it masked off either. Once you're done with paint,
roll on down to the local Line-X dealer and get a spray-in bedliner.
