Good Day;
I am looking for some suggestions from the DML regarding an
exhaust replacement for my Dak.
I have been looking at either Borla or Gibson Stainless
exhaust systems. My main concern is low to mid range
torque, especially for towing. I would like to put on
duals, but am open to comments about this. I will only go
duals if I can get a system where the pipes exit at an
angle behind the rear wheels; I am not partial to the
straight exit under the rear bumper. I believe the
"Extreme Dual Exhaust" system from Gibson, exits at the
angle I am looking for.
Regarding the duals, I have noticed that very few exhaust
companies list duals for my application. Gibson lists the
problem being the spare tire storage under the box. My
question with that is, if I won't be using the spare tire
storage, will I be able to utilize a dual setup on my
truck? If so, could I use the Gibson extreme dual exhaust
setup? Also, does anyone know if Borla makes a dual
exhaust system for my year of dak, and if so, would it fit
if I remove the spare tire?
Lastly, I would like to hear from anyone presently running
a single cat back exhaust from either Borla or Gibson, on a
similar model of Dak as mine. Especially in the areas of
Low to mide range torque.
I plan to put on a new high flow cat at the same time since
my cat is ready to quit.
Any help with my exhaust questions would be greatly
appreciated.
