It seems like a perfectly cromulent idea.

Actually, if someone were willing to spot me the $400 (or $200 for the
templates and help me build it), I'd gladly throw one on the Acclaim
for some testing. I have killer fuel usage records on the car dating
back to January of this year, on a basically fixed test course, so the
comparison might be close to valid!

If this thing actually improved mileage even by 50%, it'd pay for
itself in my case in under 3 months.
