That was one thing I questioned when assembling the engine. I had it set at
TDC but wasn't 100% sure if it was on the compression stroke which would
make it 180 off. I'll be sure to check that out too.

Does it start and won't stay running? Or won't start at all? If it won't
start at all, double check your distributor, mine was 180* out and wouldn't
start, thought it was at TDC when I put it in, but apparently it wasn't.
