Hi Bob!
Have you checked to see what the pressure is at WOT? Hook up your
pressure tester and see what happens under open throttle conditions.
I had a fuel pressure problem with Christine, but to a more drastic
extent. The fuel pressure was too low to keep the truck running at
anything more than idle. And it was running very lean. Under throttle
- fuel pressure would drop into the single PSI numbers (truck runs at
14-15 psi) A faulty pressure regulator was to blame - it was allowing
the fuel to flow past the regulator and back into the tank via the
return line - preventing proper pressure from building up.
I only was able to discover that by watching the fuel pressure with the
engine running under open throttle.
