I picked up my 99 SLT+ CC 4x4 with 60k miles 2.5 years ago for $7K. It's a V6
so the value is a little down from a v8 but there was also a similar 01 truck
with 70k miles and the v8 they were asking $9k for that I could likely have
gotten for close to $8k. I passed on it because it had an alumium cap that had
been attached by drilling holes through the bed to bolt on. Didn't want the cap
and didn't want to deal with holes drilled in the bed.
Used vehilces in general aren't fetching much these days considering you can
lease new ones for a lower monthly payment and most folks don't care about the
real cost just the monthly payment.
It's a boon to those that can pay cash for low mileage used vehicle.
