Had this same old battery since '98. Its a ProStart PLUS. Dont remember who made it.
Sounds like Kragen or something like that. not sure.
Anyway, it's been a really good battery for 7 years. I have had it drained completely
dead but that was due to my stupidity in leaving the headlights on and nothing the
battery did. :) After a jump and some re-charging by the truck, it was good as new
again.
I have been thinking about replacing the battery cause it leaks just a little from the
top ports. Which then causes the battery hold-down straps to get corroded. I have gone
through 2 sets of hold-down straps already.
