This happened to my 96 once. I went to help my brother moved and left the
lights on. When it was time to drive to the new place I found my battery
dead. We jumped it. The truck wouldn't stay running at all unless I kept
the rpm's high. I think I ran it for 15 minutes like that thinking maybe
the battery needed to be charged. Nothing worked. We wound up leaving it
behind. Came back the next morning and it started up fine and I never had
a problem like that again. I never had to jump it after that either.
