Josh has it exactly right. Get your ASS out of the house. Where
dosen't matter as long as there are people there. Having a hobby makes
it easier to hang out wherever without looking (CREEEEEEEEPY) AND gives
you something to talk about. Forget the laundromat, supermarket and
most bars [unless you are looking for a quickie to boost the ego]. Go
to sporting events [hockey is my personal fave, but whatever is close
and cheap will do], carshows, fleamarkets and swapmeets if you are into
older chicks, most ANYTHING held on a college campus will net you a
younger crowd. Speaking of college, enroll in one [not the online type]
  and attend classes. Liberal arts classes/disciplines attract alot of
girls, and if you manage to make it through the first few weeks WITHOUT
hitting on any of your classmates, they will come to you. Just be cool....
