How about the NV4500 out of the 3/4 and 1 ton Rams? Possibly a direct
replacement for a NV3500 or modifications would be needed (or not very
feasible at all)?

The 3.9s don't use the NV3500. It used to be the AX-15, same as the Jeeps.
I think they switched to the NV1500 at some point.
