I agree - I used to do something similar in the Mini - had a portable CD
player that would play MP3's hooked into an aux in on the factory head unit.

I figure with the factory changer (which plays MP3's as well) I should
be able to put 60 albums or so in the player all at once. That should
be enough for most trips!
