I used to have a '92 or '93 dakota w/a 3.9l. Twice it died with exactly
the same symptoms. Both times it was the rotor (as in cap & rotor).
Conveniently, I had a spare on hand the second time it happened.
I'm making a note to myself now to carry a spare in my '01 3.9l dakota...
