RE: Gen II Power Mirrors

The black rubber boot between the door and door jam is pretty thin. You
should be able to tell by squeezing it and feeling for wires.
And if there is no boot (which I'm not sure if they didn't install one on
non power trucks), no wire.
The main harness should have a place to plug in a door harness behind the
pull out cup holder. When I added power locks and windows, the plug was
already there in the main harness behind the cup holder, I just had to
obtain a complete door harness since all I had were power mirrors.
Hope this helps.
James

Subject: DML: Gen II Power Mirrors

Ok - I tried searching the archives and some how hit on the threads dealing
with the legend of the "R/T" phenomena. Those who know... :-X

Anyway.. I just wanted to know if non-power mirror trucks (like my 1995 Gen
II) have the wires for power mirrors already in them. The driver side
mirror is busted up... I've never been a fan of the tiny 5x7 mirrors on
trucks are big as ours... and as others can attest to - I need all the side
vision I can get when I'm on the highway. So I'm looking for upgrades.
