: Physically the same and there's no gear on the distributor shaft.

  Thanks, Ray! Never had my distributor out so I wasn't sure.
I'm guessing then that the end of the distributor is shaped kinda
like a regular screwdriver which engages a slot? The geared
part that is driven off the cam stays in the block?
