It started out as a Dodge version of the Liberty, but somewhere along the line
they decided to make it more street oriented. I guess they're trying to
compete with all the car-based SUVs out there like the Escape and Equinox. No
low range, lower stiffer suspension, street rims and tires, performance tuned
engine, etc. Might make a pretty nice setup if that's what you're looking
for. With only V6 engines available, I don't know if I'd be using it much for
towing. The rating maxes out at 5000 lbs (just like the Liberty and
Cherokee).
