Regarding my 'clickety-click' sound when turning hard right....
Josh: Its a soft click sound. Not one you can feel in the steering or chassis.
James: The motor mounts were replaced last year when I had a new 46RH installed. I
suppose one could have gone bad since then.
Victor: The diff is non-LSD. So I dont think the problem is the same as yours.
Also its *only* when I go right. Never once heard the sound going left.
thanks guys for the ideas tho. still not sure what the sound is, or how serious it is.
I think my first step might be to see if its related to vehicle speed or engine speed. I
will need some wide open area to test this cause i dont want to spin out and lose
control. hehehe. :)
i have a hunch its the fan against the shroud. if the motor is able to move laterally
about 3/4" it may be enough for the fan to just touch the edge of shroud. I might get a
2x4 and wedge the motor over to the driver side and see how far it goes. if it moves
enough to touch the shroud then it may be able to also do it under high lateral Gs.
any comments?
