Re: GPS Unit Recommendations?

I've been a GPSer for the last 8 years. I've still got my original Street Pilot from April 2000-- and it's logged over 60k miles of navigation (it's old school--- no auto routing, base maps are interstates and primary roads--- you have to load updated map data to GARMIN brand memory cards, which is so - so .... I'm going to put this unit on my motorcycle as it's still useful).

I recently updated to a Garmin c330--- It's the easiest GPS to use. Period. Want to go from FL to Spokane, WA? No problem--- plug in the address of the destination, and it'll auto-route you there with voice commands. Need to find a local gas station? Fast Food? -- 2-3 clicks on the touch screen and you'll have a dozen to choose from (with phone #s for most all business/services you are looking up too, which is really handy when you are trying to find an autopart on the road and would like to confrim they have it before driving there, etc.)

I picked mine up @ Circuit City--- they had a great price on it. ALL of the maps are preloaded-- no need to load maps. It does have a SD memory card slot, but not sure what you'd need it for. The preloaded maps can be update via Garmin's website -- USB 2.0

My wife has no excuse for getting lost again!
