Subject: Re: DML: ODBII - Codes P0340 P0344 -- Camshaft Position Sensor

Got a new camshaft position sensor from Autozone, $42.00

Swapped in camshaft sensor, not much room to work where the sensor
is and my hands were too big for the space. With a 10mm open end wrench
I could only turn the bolt 1/8 turn before taking the box end off and
moving it and fighting to get it back on. The bolt was on with blue
locktite so I couldn't take it off with my fingers. A ratchet and socket
weren't doing the job either. Approaching it from below would be just as
tight a fit.

. I cleared codes and she started right up, runs great, and cruise
control also works again. Cruise works off the crank sensor too I guess.

A friend of a friend who is a dodge service mechanic says that the 4.7
has had some issues with the camshaft position sensor. He's replaced quite
a few.

     Problem solved.
