01 Dakota-Garage Dr Opener Programming

I've got an 01 Dakota SLT w/ the overhead console and the integrated
garage door opener. I've tried NUMEROUS times to and program it & I've
followed the instructions to the letter, but to no avail. Does anyone
have any tips or tricks on how to get this thing to work?
